Xendo has set up a Joint Venture with a US based partner for the development and commercialization of a series of novel bioprocess chromatography products.

The Tarpon Biosystems products combine disposable, prepacked chromatography cartridges with a novel chromatography system, based on Simulated Moving Bed technology, that has been designed with disposable fluid path. The modular systems can be configured in either conventional single column mode or in multi-column modes and be efficiently scaled to virtually unlimited batch sizes.

The solutions can utilize any chromatographic media currently used for biopharmaceutical production and can be scaled for applications ranging from gram-level clinical production to ton-level commercial production.
