New organization chart for Xendo

Divisional structure better fit to meet customer demands

Xendo has entered 2009 with a redesigned organization that creates more synergy between the various activities. “The main driver for this change was to better inform our customers and prospects about the services Xendo offers” says Ard Tijsterman, Site Director Leiden. “We have chosen a divisional structure so that departments that already teamed up a lot now belong to one division; as a result we will achieve an efficiency increase and will be able to grow better”.

Growth and extension

The major changes have taken place in Leiden. The former business unit Regulatory Affairs is now a division with Ineke Jonker as its director. Tijsterman: “In this field we definitely want to grow and will offer new services and disciplines within Regulatory Affairs”.

Meet and exceed customer expectations

All activities concerning Engineering, Compliance and Technical Support are now together in a new division Pharma Services, headed by René Nanninga. “The three entities already formed many multidisciplinary teams in many projects in the past", Tijsterman explains. "By putting them into one division we can better meet our customer expectations and even exceed them.”

One-stop-shop

The Business Management Group is now part of the Manufacturing division; Division Director is Iedo Beeksma. “Business Management projects were performed very often in the field of Manufacturing. The next step was to make them part of the Manufacturing Division. Other entities in this division are Bioprocessing and Clinical Trial Material” says Tijsterman. “We now have a CMO for early phase biologicals; our customers now have the benefit of a one-stop-shop: from process development to the manufacturing of clinical trial material”.

The new structure not only brings us an increased efficiency but makes us also more visible to our customers. Of course, we are “Open to Pharma”.
